Margies coming home story

Margie was only 4 blocks away.  She somehow got across the bridge for the freeway. Maybe dumped there.  Apparently the kids in the neighborhood were afraid of her.  A gentleman found her and took very good care of here.  He tended to her eye as well.  He did not speak English well, working guy, lived alone, and had his own dog.  We noticed there was a flyer 3 doors down from his house.  He must have finally put 2 and 2 together and called us.  I was very hopeful on every call to hunt down a lead, but this one did feel a bit different. We we're so overjoyed to see her.  Margie came home

Under the circumstances, I know we all thought the worst.  We are SO lucky to have her back, unharmed, healthy, and happy.  With the power of social media for good was amazing and we thank each and every one of you for helping in all the ways you did.  Again, THANK YOU.

The gentleman who got Marge off the street, did not express interest in the reward from Detroit Dog Rescue, but we are going back with some gifts to hopefully show our appreciation for his assistance

If you want to vist Margie she will be at the Michigan State Fair @ the Butter Cow

August 28 - September 2 / Labor Day weekend

We are so happy she can resume her duties as the Butter Cow Mascot.  She loves to greet people at the display.  We would love to meet you and personally thank you as well.

Thank you to everyone who helped get Marge home

Margies brother in the video is Jaxson. He had been a nervous wreck to whole time she was missing.  He ended up in the cone because he was nervously chewing on himself.  First night Margie was back, he relaxed.
